HUCKEPACK SCHOOL
In the brief, the clients emphasise their desire to combine architecture and pedagogy (spatial pedagogy) on the one hand, and to meet modern technical, ecological and energy standards on the other. The proposal deals consistently and directly with the existing building and makes use of its advantages. All buildings and the landscape will be retained and the impact on the existing buildings will be minimized with a maximum effect. The project proposal is based on an extension of the existing pavilions. The pavilions will be retained and placed on the roof of the new school building. This is a direct reuse that reduces the carbon footprint. During the construction phase it can be used as a temporary structure. A series of measures are defined by a clear attitude to make our connection with the earth directly visible in a permanent learning environment.
