  ATELIER  HOUSE

Atelier House with Northern LightPublication in werkbauenundwohnen 03.2024

The light draws the section of the Atelier House. In other words, the skylights characterize and fill the central space with north light, providing optimal working conditions throughout the day.
In addition, the layout of the plan challenges the traditional separation between work and living by integrating private, intimate niches through the use of a suspended balcony and partition wall. At the same time, cars can enter the space directly through a large folding door. The size of the pergola and openings on the ground floor give the building an almost public character. Situated in the middle of a 1990s single-family housing estate, the Atelier House aims to foster new relationships.
Regional craftsmanship, regenerative materials, low-tech solutions and minimal excavation have been used to integrate a new contemporary architectural expression into the context.
